for everyone

Every single bit of progress in humane feeling, every improvement in the criminal law, every step towards better treatment of the colored races, or every mitigation of slavery... Has been consistently opposed by the organized churches of the world. I say quite deliberately that the Christian religion, as organized in its churches, has been and still is the principal enemy of moral progress in the world

-Bertrand Russell

If ever people do decide to examine the history of the Christian religion people would realize that in almost every social issue the church has always been consistently against progress they were for slavery, against woman’s rights, against science medicine and proper education.

It is starling to see that so many people have forgotten the exploits of the church century’s back. The crusades where hundreds of thousands of people were killed including their own soldiers which were sometimes made up of children because the pope wanted a piece of land back. The inquisition which lasted for 500 years is where they killed and tortured anyone who was not with the Roman Catholic Church. The witch trials which was started by the Catholics and was perfected by the protestants where they burned women who they accused of being witches children as young as 5 were burned to death because of this movement. So please before you say Jesus or the Christian religion is good for society and promotes peace please look back at the history of this very deceiving religion.

They say that the most segregated day is on Sunday.

On the atrocities of the past? Most Christians will say that "Oh! Times have changed! That stuff doesn't happen anymore, not in Christian societies anyway."

To which I counter. What is the principle cause and motivation behind this change? We can plainly see this change began during the Enlightenment. Which in turn helped spawn the birth of the United States in its profound and then radical notion of secular governance. For the first time in remembered history there was no Church pulling the strings. Nowadays we just have to worry about who's behind the curtain.

Well, it's the wizard of course! :)

Religious people will tell you that the their religion is all loving....etc. And some choose to hide their heads in the sand.
A few choose to only pick what suits them. Forget trying to mention the atrocities where religion is concerned. They don't want to hear that or they say, "it's gods will."

I am not a Christian, I am a Muslim, but since Jesus Christ is considered a prophet in my religion; I will give my say on this. First of all, before attributing all the anomalies and atrocities done by the Catholic Church to Jesus Christ; may you be reminded first that the practices and traditions of the present Catholic Church are loosely based on the Christ's teaching. Their teachings spun and root from lots of superstitions and traditions that evolved from medieval Europe. So it is so unfair to blame all the atrocities of the Church to Jesus Christ when in the first place he never taught nor encourage such kinds of acts. When did Jesus Christ order or encourage people to slaughter witches or people who wish not to believe in what he preaches?

It doesn't matter what Jesus preached (that's irrelevant). What matters is the atrocities people commit in his name. Along with the atrocities people commit in the name of Muhammad. And any other religious leader or figure.
